Miro Distribution, a distributor of wireless networking, VOIP and IP video products, is the latest distribution house signed on to increase the rate of adoption of the Edge-Core Networks’ solution brand.
The national distributor will utilise its established domestic network, covering major urban areas of South Africa, as well as its exports division to sub-Saharan Africa, to rollout Edge-Core’s range of network switching solutions.
This range includes Rackmount 10 Gigabit and Gigabit Ethernet Switches, Desktop PoE Ethernet Switches as well as Rackmount PoE Ethernet Switches.
The alliance will focus on the mid range market segment, an area both companies feel is generally untapped when it comes to this level of solution and application.
“We know the mid-range market continues to expand and there is an increasing demand for cost competitive network solutions. There is also a strong demand for channel partners that can offer a reliable level of support, with dependable stock availability as well as technical expertise. Miro distribution fulfills all these criteria and we are excited about the partnership and what it will mean for customers,” says Paul Luff, Country manager for Edge-Core Networks.
Luff adds that Miro distribution was identified for its solid reputation for housing good product, its proven track record of reliable support, timely provision of product and effective stock level control.
Miro distribution is an authorized distributor of several established brands as part of its product portfolio. The portfolio includes Voice over IP, IP Security, Wired Networking products, Indoor, Outdoor and Carrier-Class Wireless, Antennas as well as Utilities to help with any installation.
Riandi van Niekerk, Miro distribution Marketing Manager says the company looks forward to the opportunity to address requirements within this market and believes the value of the Edge-Core Networks’ brand is recognised within the market.
“We want to tap into the ongoing demand for cost effective, high capacity and high performance solutions for the mid market. These are products that have traditionally been less accessible and generally not an ideal fit for operators within this space. The first objective for the alliance is to reinforce awareness of Edge-Core Networks’ products within Miro distribution’s customer base. Thereafter the partnership will reinforce supply, service and support to meet what is expected to be an increasing demand.
