Gamers who bought the new Xbox360 Slim received a brand-new headset in the box, but Microsoft announced that they are to release a new-look wireless headset for the 360.

It should be available worldwide by early November and the best part of it is that it’s compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a phone or PC, as well as the console. The headset will allow players of Xbox Live to communicate with each other during online gaming sessions.

That leaves “old” Xbox owners on the back foot, as their consoles don’t support the technology.

“In addition to the headset, Microsoft is also readying a new media remote for the 360. Controls include play/pause, skip forward, fast forward, skip back, fast back, and display to control DVD, CD or streamed media,” Eurogamer wrote.

The new remote will pretty much function the same way as the current one, with buttons to support power on/off, volume up/down, mute and TV input, while also having A, B, X, Y buttons, D-pad navigation, back and select for easy menu navigation.

The new headset will be priced at $59.99, or around £36.50, although no regional pricing has been confirmed yet.
