Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Maged Osman, discussed Vodafone’s investments in Egypt with Vittorio Colao, the company’s CEO earlier this week. Vodafone is the world’s largest mobile telephone company.
The two discussed Vodafone’s ‘keen interest’ in maintaining its partnership with Egypt, reported the Global Arab Network.
Colao’s visit to Egypt was in line with Osman’s implementation of the Ministry’s policy to attract more investments, said Osman in a statement.
Colao reiterated Vodafone’s commitment to boosting its business in Egypt during the coming phase.
In related news, Osman also met with the Indian Ambassador to Egypt, R. Swaminathan, regarding cyber-voting, and with Singapore’s Ambassador to Egypt, Tan Hung Seng, to tackle promotion of bilateral relations in the information technology sector.
