Globacom has launched a prepaid 3G plus Internet service for Kaduna in Nigeria, the company said on Wednesday in a press statement.
Speaking at a press conference for the launch, the Chief Operating Officer of Globacom’s Group, Mohammed Jameel, said, “The prepaid 3G plus internet modem and usage packages are specially designed for the convenience of the subscribers.
“We will continuously avail Nigerians the benefit from the advances made in telecommunications and information technology to stimulate economic and social development of our country.”
He said that the 3G network would “revolutionize” data transfer and allow for faster transmissions of data, voice, broadband Internet and multimedia services over a range of frequencies.
He further reassured Glo subscribers and Nigerians that Globacom was committed to continued pursuit of the vision of becoming the largest, most successful entertainment, information and telecommunications solutions provider both in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
