Datatec acquires UK based audio visual company

JSE- and Aim-listed information and communication technology (ICT) group Datatec on Monday (today) announced that its subsidiary Logicalis has agreed to acquire UK based Direct Visual Limited, a Tandberg (now part of Cisco) Platinum Partner, for an undisclosed amount.

The group said in a statement that the business will be integrated into Logicalis’ Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) operation to strengthen its video offering.

Jens Montanana, Datatec’s Chief Executive commented:
“This acquisition is a great opportunity for Logicalis to develop its video business in line with its UCC capabilities, and further broaden the offerings within its managed services and cloud computing expertise.“
