Samsung Galaxy Tab
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is now available on the Vodacom network. This must-have device has a rich web browser which allows users to view internet content including Flash sites. Customers can also access Google’s application store and download up to 100 000 applications in the Android market. It is a tablet and a phone since it allows users to browse the internet, view photos, watch movies in full high-definition (HD) and send e-mails. It boasts a 7 inch screen with a (1024X600) screen resolution and high pixel density making it perfect for viewing office documents and to use as an e-book reader.

This device offers better portability and is much better for one-handed use than the larger-screened ones; this enables users to wrap their hands around the tablet when reading a book. It has dual cameras (3MP and 1.3MP) with video conferencing capabilities. Users can also enjoy fast connectivity since this tablet is both Wi-Fi and HSDPA/HSUPA enabled.

The Galaxy Tab is packed with solid business features and vast multimedia potential. It uses the latest Android operating system (2.2/Froyo) for optimal performance. It is very compact, slim and super light (385g) making it easy to carry.

“The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been especially designed for users who want to maximise satisfaction of a tablet PC while retaining utmost portability – it certainly takes multitasking to new heights,” said Shameel Joosub, Vodacom SA Managing Director.

The battery life of up to seven consecutive hours video play is the longest in its category.

The device is available from as little as R379 per month inclusive of data from any participating Vodacom outlet.
