Mickael Ghossein, Telkom Kenya CEO, while announcing the changes, said the new structure is intended to ensure that Telkom Kenya, under its Orange commercial brand heightens its focus on key business areas.
“The reorganization puts Telkom Kenya at the very heart of France Telecom-Orange new industrial project, whose ambition for 2015 can be summed up in a single word: conquests – one word, but in the plural,” said Mr Ghossein.
While new appointments were being made, Peter Reinartz who has been Deputy CEO for the past two and a half years leaves Telkom Kenya and France Telecom Group to pursue other professional interests.
Those appointed to new positions include Jane Karuku, until her new appointment, head of Support Services for Telkom Kenya, has been appointed Deputy CEO.
Her responsibilities as co-sponsor of transformation projects will be to supervise government relations and dedicated projects, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal and Regulatory aspects of the business.
Bruno Allassonniere joins Telkom Kenya from the Central African Republic where he has been Orange CEO since 2007.
Allassonniere, who is also a Deputy CEO, will be responsible for transformation and will oversee quality/audit, logistics, and management of Telkom Kenya facilities, as well as sourcing and security aspects of the business.
Mr Allassonniere, an engineer by profession, has held several senior management positions within France Telecom both in Europe and Africa.
