East Africa Com 2010 Congress, to be held on 27-28 April 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya, has so far registered a record breaking number of delegates, with over 140 operators confirming their presence and an amazing 400% growth in responses compared to last year’s event.
East Africa Com is an annual dedicated congress for telecommunications professionals from across the whole of East Africa. With just over two months until its start, the event has already received confirmations from 140 operators and more than 1000 delegates are expected to join discussions and network at the two-days event.
This year, the senior-level conference will host over 17 C-level operator representatives and Honourable Samuel Poghisio, Minister of ICT in Kenya . Due to the favourable responses, the venue has been moved into a larger and more central venue, Nairobi’s Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
Companies that will discuss about growth strategies, new technologies, network optimization and cost-effective business models include Zain Group, Safaricom, Essar Group, MTN (Uganda), Orange (Kenya & Uganda), Africa Online Group, Uganda Telecom, Vodacom (Mozambique), Zantel (Tanzania), Zain Tanzania and others.
East Africa Com is an annual event dedicated to the communications markets of East Africa where operators (fixed, mobile, wireless), ISPs, regulators, investors and vendors from the region gather to debate the opportunities and challenges facing the telecommunications industry in their markets. The conference will be followed by an exhibition that showcases the latest innovations from over 50 telecoms companies in the East African region.
