Nokia announced today the appointment of Juha Äkräs as Executive Vice President of Human Resources and member of the Group Executive Board, following Hallstein Moerk’s decision to retire from its current position as head of HR at the end of March 2010.
Äkräs is currently Senior Vice President, co-heading Human Resources with Hallstein Moerk, the current Executive Vice President of Human Resources. He will start in his new position as of April 1, 2010.
Hallstein Moerk will step down from his current position as Human Resources manager at Nokia and will leave the Nokia Group Executive Board before April. Until his retirement at the end of September 2010, Hallstein Moerk will act as Executive Advisor in Nokia.
