ATIO gets lucrative 2010 contract

soccer_world_cup.jpgATIO, in partnership with Sukuma Global Communications, have been awarded a lucrative tender to provide ICT infrastructure to the Coca-Cola Park stadium ahead of multiple sporting events taking place in 2010.

The contract entails the provision of integrated IP communications, cabling and electronic infrastructure to the Coca Cola Park Stadium for the City of Johannesburg.

Says Andre le Roux, Managing Director, ATIO interactive division: “Our partnership with Nortel positions us as a leader in delivering world class communication systems. We are certain that implementation of the Nortel 8600 and 5500 Ethernet Routing Switching network technology will meet their business needs in preparing Coca Cola Park ahead of the 2010 events”.

Nortel has also been selected to provide the IT infrastructure for the Olympic Games in London for 2012.

The installation will include voice/data & fibre cabling and electronic infrastructure supporting security management, wireless security and IPTV support. The project has already commenced and is on track according to the project 2010 schedule.

The value of the deal was not disclosed by the parties.
