ICASA revises license fee draft regulations

A revised version of the Draft General License Fees Regulations has been published by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) in the country’s Government Gazette.

The organization said in a statement: “The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) published a revised version of the Draft General License Fees Regulations in Government Gazette No. 31992 on 06 March 2009. Interested Parties have until 20 March 2009 to submit written comments on the revised regulations. The final regulations will be published after all submissions have been considered,”

This gives respondents just 10 days to make written submissions on the contents of the document. The regulating body also published additional documents in the Gazette, not open for public comment.
