MOBILE phone technology will play a prominent role at the end of this month when South African students that sat for their matric examinations receive their results.
A leading daily newspaper has come up with a short messaging service that will see the matriculants receive their examination results by sms.
This is the first time such a service has been introduced.
To receive their results, the matriculants can send their examination number to 35909 and their results will be sent to them instantly.
About 60 000 South African students sat for their month-long matric examinations this year.
They were were written between November 3 and December 3. The results will be available on December 28.
