Robert_Sussman.jpgIntegr8 IT, South Africa’s largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, has received acclaim once again at the 10th Annual ICT African Achievers Awards as the “Most Innovative ICT Company on the continent in 2008”.

This is the second year, consecutively, that the company has walked away with this coveted award at this prestigious event, hosted by ForgeAhead in conjunction with the DOC (Department of Communications) and further endorsed by Nepad e-Africa Commission.

The Africa-based ICT Awards Programme this year was based on the theme ‘Make the African Century a Reality’, and the focus was mainly around ‘innovation’. The Awards serve as recognition for individuals and businesses within the sector that continue to make a difference to the industry in Africa and that have a proven record of business excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and corporate social initiative.

Integr8 IT was also a top three African ICT Achievers finalist in two other prominent categories: several award categories including: Top ICT Businessman in Africa and Top ICT Company in Africa to for.

Robert Sussman, joint CEO at Integr8 IT, says the company is delighted and humbled about receiving this remarkable recognition with prestigious award and prominent title

“It is really an honour to have been acknowledged by the industry in such a distinguished of award categories. The accolade as Most Innovative ICT Company in Africa for 2008, in a year that has been fraught with volatility in markets around the world, is indeed an accomplishment and an encouragement for us to push forward,” adds Sussman.

“We have steadily built up a proven and credible profile in the market and industry, and remain committed to our original strategy and business model. This has helped us to pioneer and streamline services, manage growth effectively & efficiently, apply and nurture our skills, retain only committed & passionate entrepreneurial talent and ultimately present a very dedicated, value-added ICT service portfolio to our domestic and international client base,” he continues.

The criteria that regulates participation at these awards has become more stringent and complex over the years says Sussman. “Organizers are looking for operators that continue to deliver throughout specialized areas of operation. The win in the Most Innovative ICT category will certainly reinforce our renowned credibility going forward and add impetus to our strategy in Africa.”

This is not the first time the company has tasted victory at the awards and Sussman proudly acknowledges previous successes including its win of the Top Private CIO of the Year 2005 and its win of Most Innovative ICT Company of the Year 2007. The company has also featured as a finalist in three categories in 2006 including ICT Workplace Provider of the Year, and Top ICT Company of the Year.

This is put down to a focused and consistent approach to efforts to dominate the ultra competitive private ICT infrastructure management space. This is based on the principle of ‘not simply talking technology, but talking business’ – a premise that filters throughout the company.

“Integr8 IT’s multi-core business model and deliberate strategy to continue to invest while most companies are pulling their investment has allowed the company to mature into a strong position as it approaches its ninth year of operation. Our strategic intent to build for the long term has allowed for the successful ownership of a long term company with predictable revenues and cash flows,” Sussman continues. “We have proved that we have what it takes to compete, be recognised, and make a difference in the ICT industry.”
