THE 2008 edition of Security Africa Summit, where the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry is represented kicks off in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The international event is proving extremely popular also with the leading banks, airports, petroleum companies, pharmaceutical, retail and governmental organizations and organizers hope to build on last year’s successful show.
MIS Training Institute is running the three-day summit at the Protea hotel Balalaika in Sandton north of Johannesburg.
“This unique event attracts security directors, CEOs, key risk executives and advisors from across all sectors,” the organizers said.
The international speaker panel includes Stefan Grobler of Transparency international, Lady Olga Maitland, CEO of International Association of Money Transfer Networks and Aaro Hallikainen, Chief Security Officer, ICT Agency, Finnish Police.
Mark Heyink, Information Attorney & Information Security Consultant, & Partner and Tony Crilly, Managing Director, Saladin Technical Services plc will also present papers at the event that ends on Friday.
