Microsoft brings new singing game to South Africa

LIPS, the much-awaited singing game manufactured by Microsoft has been shipped to Africa.

The company announced that the new singing game exclusively for the Xbox 360 from iNiS, was now available in South Africa to retailers and hoped it would catch the market by storm.

Lips is an all-new music franchise exclusively for Xbox 360® and is the only singing game offering wireless motion sensitive microphones and the ability to sing from a collection of DRM-free songs.

Microsoft launched the mystery device in May this year as part of a gaming event.

Nicknamed “Lips,” the device is expected to be a voice communication add-on for the Xbox 360 but is unlikely to be a typical headset, which is either packed into higher-end Xbox models as a wired headset or sold separately for wireless versions. Speculation has the device offering some level of voice recognition or else a dedicated microphone for music games.

Lips has a robust track list of over 40 songs out of the box from artists like Beyonce, Lupe Fiasco, Nirvana and Rascal Flatts.
