Workgroup’s dedicated CA (formerly known as Computer Associates) division has announced that it has signed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with CA to further accelerate the adoption of CA security products in South Africa.
Through the agreement, Workgroup will take on the responsibility of manufacture, support and distribution of CA’s Anti-Spyware, Internet Security Suite and Internet Security Suite Plus product
ranges.
So says John Thompson, CA product manager at Workgroup who adds that this market move means that Workgroup customers can expect the most competitive pricing on security products that are always in stock, including:
CA Anti-Spyware provides comprehensive protection against viruses, worms and Trojan horse programs that can destroy the information business values most. It also protects against a wide
range of spyware threats that can expose confidential information and
diminish the PC’s performance.
CA Internet Security Suite provides comprehensive protection against Internet threats that can jeopardise privacy and diminish PC performance.
CA Internet Security Suite Plus provides total protection against Internet threats and helps ensure important files, photos, music and PC settings are safe by allowing users to easily back them
up, restore them or transfer them to a new PC.
“This agreement will enable Workgroup to offer between 25 and 150 percent price cuts on different product offerings and we have a range of OEM solutions and packaging options for our channel,” says
Thompson. “We are also well placed to facilitate Internet Service Provider (ISP) or monthly billing structures dependent on our channel’s requirements.
