Samsung says it will not follow in the footsteps of its competitors and launch a music proposition.
Mobile Today reported that, the manufacturer has decided to focus on applications. Samsung is planning an applications store on an open source platform, allowing developers to freely create apps for the manufacturer’s customers.
The trend of manufacturers selling is driven mainly by Nokia. The company recently announced its Comes With Music device, giving unlimited music, would be launched at the start of October. At the same time the manufacturer is extending the Nokia Music Store to the web.
Sony Ericsson has also jumped on the bandwagon and will be releasing its own unlimited music device this month, while LG has teamed up with Omnifone, the company behind MusicStation, to launch its all you can eat music handset.
