Firm Partners Google, MSN to re-brand Nigerians

A Nigerian based Internet branding services provider, TodaysNigerians.com, has entered into strategic partnership deals with global search engines, Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN, aimed at branding successful Nigerians and icons on the net.

Executive Director of the firm, Mr. Kamal Abiodun, who confirmed the relationship in an interview with newsmen, said the deal would bring up the best of Nigerians on the web portal whenever a search is made on them in the Internet.

Accordint to him “Our ready to go extra platinum services of Google cleansing of negative misrepresentations, international event coverage are unique media services that make TodaysNigerians.com platform membership a combination of branding, media services, limited IT outsourcing and total Internet service.

He said, “We have to be a super brand ourselves and as such with our operational unit in the United States , we have partnered with major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN for required optimisation.

He explained that TodaysNigeria.com is not a cyber squatter but a brand firm which is keen on projecting the best of Nigerian human resources who have excelled in different walks of life.

He said the major Internet brand for notable and Emeritus Nigerians was born out of the need to fill the internet vacuum that positively promote, showcase and track the good deeds of hardworking Nigerian CEOs, chairmen, senators, governors, professors emeritus and everyday Nigerians doing great things.

“We are also professionally associated with world renowned image makers like Wikipedia, Zoominfo and Forbes and our platinum members tap into the courtesy relationship we have with them.”

“Our media plan is ready to roll out fully by middle of the year and will appear in places like airports, major hotels, major shopping malls, exhibitions, university conferences and seminars amongst others.”

Abiodun said the Internet provides a powerful tool to combat the negative and vicious stereotyping of Nigeria and Nigerians especially by foreign media organisation which do not have the total picture of what the entire citizenry represent. He said TodaysNigerians.com offers a wonderful opportunity to successful and ethical Nigerians to tell their stories themselves unedited. According to him, the web portal also increases the Nigerian content on the information superhighway and helps to address the paucity of contents originating from Nigeria on the Internet.

He regretted that as a result of this paucity, Nigerians are known to be net downloaders of information as far as Internet is concerned. “Other nationals can share the successes of our people,” he added. To maintain credibility of the portal, Abiodun said no Nigerian who has been indicted will be kept on the portal. According to him, if any one that had made the list gets indicted; the entry will be taken out
