Kenya to host African outsourcing conference

Kenya is to host the third African Outsourcing and Contact Centre in Nairobi from November 27 to 28. The two-day meeting has been sponsored by the newly formed Kenya ICT Board to the tune of Sh1.5 million.

The conference, to be hosted by the Kenya BPO and Contact Centre Society and the Ministry of Information and Communications, follows the first outsourcing exhibition which was held here in September 2006.

The conference, organized by Africa IT Exhibitions and Conferences (AITEC) together with InSync Limited, aims to provide a business networking opportunity platform for players in the region’s outsourcing industry.

The event also aims to provide an opportunity for international companies looking for outsourced services to meet operators in the region’s emerging outsource destination. Local players will in turn learn more about international trends, best practices as well as business opportunities available.
