Mobile operator Zantel is hoping that the launch of a new mobile streaming television service will entice new customers as well as offer more options to existing users.
The Tanzanian operator revealed that it is launching Zuninga Television in order to “provide its mobile phone subscribers with news, movies, gospel, sports and other content from a number of domestic media houses.”
Speaking at the launch, CEO Pratap Ghose said “having access to current events and up-to-date information is important in the modern world because change is constant.”
Tanzania has seen solid growth in its Mobile Internet Infrastructure and companies are beginning to take advantage of the opportunities afforded to them. This launch should be another catalyst to develop new technologies on the market.
