MTN Ghana has reveled its new service “Roam Like Home.” Roam Like Home is a new roaming tariff that allows MTN Ghana subscribers to only pay for the local rates charged for Voice, Data and SMS while travelling in any of the 21 countries in which MTN operates.
Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr Noel Ganson, said: “The Roam Like Home offer was a bonus tariff introduced to enable valued subscribers stay connected longer with their friends, family and business associates while traveling outside Ghana.
Ganson explained that an MTN Ghana subscriber, who is charged locally per minute for on-net calls in Ghana, would pay the same rate when roaming in South Africa, Nigeria or any of the 21 countries. “The good news is that customers no longer have to go through the struggle of purchasing new SIM cards from the countries they visit in order to enjoy reduced tariffs, just maintain your MTN Ghana number and enjoy local rates in a foreign land,” he said.
The following countries will be included and offer local rates for MTN Ghana customers:
Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Republic, Liberia, Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), Afghanistan, Iran, Cyprus Rwanda, Botswana, South Africa, Sudan, South Sudan, Swaziland, Syria, Uganda, Yemen and Zambia.
