ICT Africa Summit hits SA

This year's summit will be held in Pretoria

The second annual ICT Africa Summit will be held in Pretoria, South Africa on 24 – 26 October 2011 at the CSIR conference Centre.

In 2010 the event, which was held in Cape Town attracted about 300 ICT delegates from 12 African countries. This year’s agenda will focus on a similar topic – regional integration in ICT.

Rocky Kabeya, Project Manager for the ICT Africa Summit says “There has to be one platform on the continent that is strongly committed to connecting the Public and Private sectors to synchronise policy and regulatory frameworks with business opportunities sort after by the private sector and the ICT Africa Summit is the best place for that.”

The 2011 summit is expected to host more ICT delegates and to be regarded as one of Africa’s leading ICT expo.

“Africa’s socio-economic development is in our hands and in our backyard so let us all attend the 2011 summit, united as never before to continue closing the digital divide gap,” says Moses Mwanjirah, ICT Africa Summit Director.

Major key sponsors for the event include MTN, Kaspersky, IBM, Meraka Institute, CSIR and the Africa e-programme.
