Nashua Mobile offers paperless cellular contracts

SOUTH Africa’s independent telecommunications solutions provider, Nashua Mobile, has become the first service provider in the country to offer a completely paperless process for customers signing up for cellular contracts.

In an interview on Wednesday (today), Nashua Mobile general manager for products and marketing, Tim Walter, said the development was a sign of things to come.

“The company has implemented a digital signature solution in partnership with Signatura, a specialist provider of solutions for secure paperless contracts,” said Walter.

Nashua Mobile is an independent telecommunications solutions provider that has built up a range of offerings from broadband, internet service provision and mobile data through to messaging and cellular voice solutions. Headquartered in Midrand, Nashua Mobile has 150 outlets across the country covering all nine provinces.

The company says it does not have plans at the moment to expand its business beyond South African borders.
“The company is one of South Africa’s largest, independent cellular solutions providers and one of the few providers to offer customers the choice of all three networks (Vodacom, MTN and Cell C),” said Walter.

Walter says Nashua Mobile provides services such as simplified bulk SMS solutions via a web portal, and web service based on Microsoft Outlook browse integration.

“This allows clients to unify, manage and automate business communications through a single process, and even makes it simple for users to send SMS and fax messages directly from their Outlook clients using software plug-ins.

He said Nashua Mobile had launched a C-track ICE with Cell C, which is used in cases of emergency — an all-in-one cellphone and personal tracking device.

“The C-track ICE is a personal tracking and communications solution that allows the person in possession of the device to instantly alert emergency services in the event of a crisis,” said Walter.SOUTH Africa’s fourth largest cellular mobile network, Nashua Mobile, has become the first network in the country to offer a completely paperless process for customers signing up for cellular contracts.
