MAIN One Cable Limited, an undersea fibre optic cable company in West Africa, has signed a contract with Huawei at their Lagos office to provide Intelligence Optical Switching System for Main One’s submarine cable network.
Main One Cable Company Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Funke Opeke, said the aim was to provide customers with reliable and world class service through continuous adoption of industry-leading telecommunication solutions.
“Huawei’s cutting-edge solutions meet our unique requirements which will help us advance network efficiency and deliver guaranteed service levels to our customers,” she said.
Opeke noted that the equipment has been designed to specifically address major challenges that operators face in network transmission, by enabling the construction of high-performance and highly reliable, cost-efficient networks.
“The solution will enable Main One optimize the costs of connecting its network to local operators,” she said.
