SOUTH Africa’s Independent Communications Authority, which regulates the country’s communications industry, has invited comments from members of the public and organizations regarding the review of the regulations setting out the minimum standards for the End-User and Subscriber Service Charter.
ICASA said the submissions would enable it to decide whether to amended, repeal to replace regulations contained in the charter.
“The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa hereby invites written comments from interested persons and organisations on the review of the Regulations setting out the minimum standards for the End-User and Subscriber Service Charter.
The comments are meant to assist the Authority in deciding if the said regulations should be amended or repealed and, if so, replaced,” said the organisation.
Fifty days are left before it stops receiving submissions.
ICASA added, “Persons or organisations who wish to make any representation or submit any relevant documents must also indicate whether they would like to make oral presentations at a hearing.”–
