Airtel Zambia has announced the appointment of Peter Correia as its MD. According to the telecom operator, Correia’s position will be effective from 01 March, 2015. Correia will be taking over from Charity Lumpa, who the company said has requested early retirement to pursue other, personal interests.
Correira has previously worked for Siemens South Africa, Vodacom, Mascom Botswana, Econet Wireless International and the Department of Posts and Telecommunications-South Africa, among other companies.
Lumpa joined Airtel Zambia in May 2013. During her tenure as MD, Lumpa helped to build a strong corporate reputation and to improve network quality.
