The Destiny Beta has officially kicked off; however, it has not been without a few technical difficulties. The Beta went live last night, but those looking to gain access to the Beta were greeted with maintenance notifications from both the Bungie website as well as the PlayStation Store.
“The PlayStation Network is currently experiencing high volume and users may experience issues when connecting to the service,” Sony’s PlayStation Knowledge Center reports. “We will update you with any changes that may occur in regards to this issue. Thank you for your patience.”
While most of the issues have been ironed out, there are reports of installation errors occurring across the globe. This can be expected with the game’s rather large 10.97GB installation download.
The Beta will be offline for scheduled maintenance on July 21 – July 22 and remain open for all platforms until 11:59pm PDT on July 27 (07:59 EUP Central Time 28 July).
