South Africa’s Really Awesome Gaming Expo (rAge) kicked off in Johannesburg yesterday, and will continue for the remainder of the weekend, with visitor experiencing the latest in video game and consumer technology.
Thousands of excited gamers made their way through the gates early on Friday afternoon, and was greeted by a plethora of video games to meet every stringent gamers’ demands. Games distributor Megarom has a massive stand, where players will be able to get a hands-on experience with titles such as Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, Far Cry 3, Skylanders and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, to mention only a few.
During all the frantic search for their most-anticipated title for the year, gamers will also be able to play around with Nintendo’s new Wii U system, which adds a whole new dimension to the Wii gaming console – by adding a screen onto a new controller pad.
There is something for everyone – from casual games to hardcore title, cosplay competitions to limited and selected merchandise. It’s the biggest video games expo in South Africa and every gamers should pay it a visit.
