Less than a day after Xbox’s Major Nelson announced that Microsoft will be accepting applications for the Xbox Live dashboard test program, the beta sign-up has been closed.

Microsoft that they reached their target audience in less than 24 hours, and successful applicants will be able to test the new Xbox dashboard before it gets rolled out to the general public in November. Various sources have confirmed that the new dashboard will look similar to Windows Phone 7.
“At this time we are no longer accepting registrations for the program as we have reached our target audience volume,” Nelson said.
The new dashboard brings “full Kinect integration, Bing search tools and an updated Marketplace with a range of apps to download, including BBC, LOVEFiLM, Channel 4, YouTube.”
