Releasing online today and on international television this weekend, the new trailer for Gears of War 3, entitled ‘Dust to Dust,’ pays tribute to the heroes of one of gaming’s most epic sagas. Fans around the globe can tune into the world premiere via Machinima starting on 1 September at 5am BST.
In April 2010, ‘Ashes to Ashes’ set a grim stage fraught with desperation, but a glimmer of hope remained as Delta clung to the ideal of brotherhood. Now, set to the song ‘To Dust’ by Mazzy Star, the stirring new broadcast trailer follows the full saga of Marcus and Delta’s journey across all three “Gears of War” games as they charge head-on into the end.
The spectacular conclusion to one of gaming’s most celebrated trilogies, “Gears of War 3” has already surpassed 1.3 million pre-orders worldwide, making it the fastest pre-selling Xbox exclusive in the history of the platform. As further testament to the immense anticipation surrounding the game, 1.3 million players played more than 20 million matches in the “Gears of War 3” multiplayer beta this spring, helping refine and polish the hotly anticipated juggernaut.
