Vodacom opens iMAGINE store

Vodacom has unveiled its new iMAGINE store in Midrand, South Africa, which officials said will enable customers experience smart home technology and get a feel for home-automation with the store’s unique home-simulation system.

By using only LED lighting in the store, which uses just 10% of the power that normal halogen or fluorescent lighting use, the iMAGINE store creates a visual display of the electricity cost savings and environmentally friendly benefits of installing this technology at home, officials added.

“ I believe iMAGINE’s interactive environment with its futuristic theme supported by new technology would stimulate any visitor’s imagination,” said Ravi Naidoo, design guru extraordinaire.

“If you can imagine it, it can be done”, commented Shameel Joosub, managing director of Vodacom South Africa.

The store will showcase the best of breed products connected to Vodacom’s communications infrastructure, including MPLS VPN services, WiMax, Fibre and 3G HSDPA.

“For customers curious about increasing productivity in the workplace, Vodacom Business’ latest communication solution offerings are available at the store and business customers can enquire about the latest in business technology and connectivity solutions that can be tailored to their specific needs”, concluded Joosub.
