Nutanix, a cloud computing company, recently announced the appointment of Christian Alvarez as Vice President, Americas Channel. In this new role, Alvarez will lead Nutanix’s Americas Channel team. Alvarez’s experience includes over 26 years of leading high-performance teams in executive sales and channel management roles at leading telecommunications and technology companies. In his previous role as Worldwide Head of Channels and Distribution at Juniper Networks, Alvarez was responsible for over 14,000 partners, as well as 50 distributors across the globe. Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Alvarez held various senior leadership positions at companies such as Avaya, Cyan, a Ciena Company, Connexion Technologies and Terremark Worldwide, a Verizon company.
Nutanix’s partners include value-added resellers, distributors, system integrators, strategic OEM partners and technology alliances. Alvarez, in this new role, will drive Nutanix’s overall partner sales and go-to-market program to provide greater business outcomes for customers and partners through Nutanix’s broad portfolio of award-winning cloud solutions and offerings. One key area of focus for Alvarez will be the extension of efforts of partnerships like Nutanix’s recent HPE partnership, which is said to have driven further collaboration across deals and teams.
