X/procure Software (Pty) Ltd is a market leader in electronic procurement and media solutions in South Africa’s healthcare sector. Our X/procure Pharmacy platform was launched in 2001 as an electronic procurement system, and soon after, Primedia Unlimited acquired a majority stake in the business during 2005.
Today, X/procure Pharmacy’s electronic procurement software has processed more than R100 billion worth of orders (now processing R9 billion per year – 53% of all retail pharmacy purchases). Furthermore, 63% of S.A Pharmacies use X/procure Pharmacy for their ordering which includes major corporate pharmacy groups, as well as many privately owned and independent pharmacies.
XP Digital’s Digital Advertising platform offers a unique opportunity which gives exposure to your brands directly to the consumer in retail pharmacies.
XP Digital High Definition LED Screens are installed in the dispensaries of 115 Dis-Chem & 31 Pick ‘n Pay outlets nationwide. These screens run a 14 – 16-minute loop of captivating video content with advertising slots for 10, 15, 20, 25 to 30-second adverts with no audio. The display solution also offers entertainment content to keep the audience captivated and focused on the display during the 14 – 16-minute customer dwell time spent at the dispensary.
XP Liquor provides a world-class EDI solution to the FMCG markets to enable paperless document exchange between businesses. What has been your company’s highlight of 2018?
X/procure – We have developed an online procurement platform to the pharmaceutical industry, enabling pharmacies to procure via a web-based portal, wherever they are in the world. We’ve introduced more inventory and new and enhanced functionality to ease the procurement processes within the pharmaceutical industry.
XP Digital – Our digital footprint has seen an upgrade through new and enhanced SOC screens allocated to all our sites. This enables us to display content and advertising material at a much higher resolution than before.
XP Liquor – We partnered with big retailers such as Pick ‘n Pay, Shoprite and Makro and is one of their preferred EDI partners.
How has winning the tt100 Award impacted your business?
It’s been a privilege for our Group of Companies to receive acknowledgement through the Awards programme. The tt100 Awards gives pride to our people and boosts morale within the team. It is a tool of motivation that steers our company to continued excellence and we look forward to the Awards every year. Although we are the market leader in our industry, through the association of awards, we have grown our market share in some way or another. We believe in delivering world-class support to our clients through processes we’ve developed based on the TIPS model.
Why are programs like the tt100 beneficial to enterprises?
The biggest benefit of a program like tt100 is the networking opportunities it provides with like-minded entrepreneurs and individuals. Time and time again it has enabled our business to view problems and limitations from a different perspective and drive an out-of-the-box thinking approach.
