The two creatives grabbed an opportunity to grow their business when they heard that a new and affordable business incubation centre was launching nearby.
Having worked from home for more than two years due to high rental fees for office space, Co-Founder and Director, Thokozani Zuma says, “Working from home has not been easy for us to grow our business. Being based at proper premises has shown more productivity and professionalism, especially when it comes to a work address for client purposes.”
The three-year-old AppManiaZar is proud to have worked with small but growing companies such as, Kulanje Catering, a Cape Town based Zibonele FM as well as a corporate branding start-up, Leseli Creations. The company joined SBI Centre not only for their affordable shared office space, but also for their added benefit of being able to network with like-minded entrepreneurs. “Attending inspiring and educational business seminars is what motivates us to learn and continue networking to ensure continuous growth.”, Zuma says.
The company’s main challenge has been finding new business, the Silulo Business Incubation as well as networking has opened opportunities for new business relationships. AppManiaZar is directed and managed by qualified and experienced creatives who see themselves tapping into international markets as experts in the Web and App Development space in the next five to ten years.
Zuma, a former Principal Technician at City of Cape Town, together with his friend and business partner, Pikolomzi Gqirana a former Technical Shift Manager at Grandwest Casino, have always had a passion for engineering and app development. AppManiaZar is now ready to collaborate with established businesses to gain more industry experience. The company’s next project is to create a Silulo Business Incubation Mobile App for SBI to showcase their business offerings and create a community for entrepreneurs to connect from their smart-phones, anytime, anywhere.
Director and Co-founder, Pikolomzi Gqirana says: “The future looks bright ahead, we have always wanted to create an App for a reputable Tech company. Creating our own app that will put AppManiaZar on the map is what we are looking for. We understand the importance of collaboration in business, especially as a start-up company to gain experience, exposure and credibility.
We have been fortunate to have people like Sihle Tshabalala a CEO of Quirky 30 who have added and continue to add value in us and our company and now Luvuyo Rani.”
