The TT100 Business Innovation Awards 2017 that took place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Wednesday, 15 November 2017 saw South Africa’s most innovative companies recognised for being role models in the management of innovation and technology. These companies have demonstrated their excellence in co-creating new workplace realities.
The recipients of the awards demonstrated excellence in the management of technology, innovation, people, and systems. This is based on The Da Vinci Institute’s trademarked TIPS framework.
The TT100 Awards participants receive intensive, customised feedback on how they manage technology, innovation, people and systems, enabling them to improve the way they operate their organisations.
One of the most prestigious awards, the Department of Science & Technology Ministers Award for overall excellence small enterprise was given to SSG consulting.
SSG consulting has been around since the end of 2017, and is built on a solid foundation in local and international projects in mining and petrochemical industries. Through Key360, a Business Intelligence software platform provider for project management and business process functions, SSG consulting helps major companies in achieving their goals.
Grant Smith, General Manager of projects at SSG Consulting said, “What sets us apart as a technology company is the way we approach innovation, we are a young group of people and we play hard and work hard.”
“For SSG consulting, as well as our software product Key360, we are moving towards a more global expansion. Winning an award like this one will definitely impact our company. It is a legitimacy to a lot of our hard-working people behind the scenes,” said Smith.
The Department of Science & Technology Ministers Award for overall excellence large enterprise went to electronics company, PFK Electronics.
PFK Electronics was established in 1985 and specialises in innovative automotive solutions for manufacturers, the aftermarket, major fleet and freight companies, and the public transport sector.
PFK Electronics offers tailored solutions which are produced in-house under two brands, namely Autowatch and PFK Shurlok.
Finance executive, Craig Hilary said, “The drive for what we do sets us apart, we focus on innovation, teamwork and on making sure that we love what we do. We make sure that we always satisfy our customer’s needs.”
Speaking about their future plans, Craig said. “PFK electronics is on a global drive, we are going into an excess of 23 countries as we grow our market share and penetrate new markets.”
The Department of Science and Technology Director-General Award for overall excellence emerging enterprise went to Passion for Performance and the small enterprise award went to Hear X Group.
The TT100 Award for Excellence in the management of technology for emerging enterprise went to Brucol Global development, small enterprise went to Cura Risk Management Software, medium enterprise award went to Globaltrack, and the large enterprise award went to Altech Netstar.
The TT100 Award for Excellence in the management of people emerging enterprise went to This is Me, small enterprise award went to X/procure software, medium went to BCX Accsys, and the large enterprise award went to Nelito systems.
The TT100 Award for Excellence in the management of sustainability emerging enterprise went to Passion4Performance International, small enterprise was jointly taken by X/procure Software and I AM Emerge, medium enterprise went to SSG consulting, large enterprise award went to PFK Electronics and Altech Netstar.
The TT100 Award for Excellence in the management of systems emerging enterprise went to Passion4Performance International, small enterprise went to X/procure software, medium enterprises went to Space Advisory company and large enterprise went to PFK Electronics.
The TT100 Award for Excellence in the management of innovation emerging enterprise went to Brucol Global development, small enterprise went to Hear X Group, medium enterprise went to SSG consulting and large enterprise went to PFK Electronics.
