The 2017 edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) hosted in Barcelona, Spain from 27th February – 2nd March was the biggest ever, surpassing the 101 000 attendance record set in 2016.
Under the theme “Mobile: The Next Element”, MWC hosted over 2200 exhibitors from around the world.
A highlight of the four day long event was undoubtedly the GSMA Innovation City. Located in a space spanning nearly 2,000 square meters, attendees enjoyed technology-led experiences that unpacked just how the Internet of things is improving the daily lives of citizens and businesses. The city showcased developments across a variety of industries; from healthcare to agriculture, home to office, and connected cars to global transport logistics; the Innovation City provided key insights on the future of mobility.
