FNB was recognised for having the ‘Best Mobile System/Service Initiative’ for its innovative FNB Banking App during the Annual Banking Technology Awards 2016 held in London last week.
The FNB Banking App demonstrated excellence and the best innovative tech approach worldwide in the Digital category for the use of mobile to provide services to clients within the banking sector.

The FNB Banking App which currently has over 2 million active devices in use and remains the most downloaded banking app in South Africa, has clinched numerous local and international awards;
- Voted best banking app this year in the Internet Banking SITEisfaction Survey which measures internet banking quality and user experience in South Africa.
- Awarded the 2016 Best in Customer Experience Award at the international Bank Customer Experience (BCX) Summit held in Chicago, United States of America.
- Ranked as the 6th best banking app in the world and the best in Africa at the bi-annual UX Masterclass conference held in Sydney, Australia.
- Ranked 4th best globally by MyPrivateBanking Research in the category of Mobile Apps for Wealth Management 2015, and 6th best globally by the UX Alliance for usability and ease of use.
