The Climate Innovation Centre South Africa recently hosted The Challenge Cup in collaboration with The Innovation Hub, where three South African startups won the coveted opportunity to compete in Kenya ahead of the global finals in Washington DC.
The Challenge Cup is a global competition, driven by 1776 – a global incubator and seed fund which believes that start-ups can change the world.
After 17 compelling pitches, Khepri Innovations, Water Hygiene Convenience, and Live Stock Wealth will now compete in The Challenge Cup Regional competition in Nairobi, Kenya, on 18 February 2016. Regional winners will then move forward to represent the best of Africa’s talent at The Challenge Cup Global competition, scheduled for 5th –11th June 2016 in Washington DC.
