According to a report via Engadget, Facebook is currently testing a new feature which has been dubbed “Reactions.” The feature is expected to extend the functionality of the Like button.

The report reveals that the emoticons will allow users to depict feelings such as love, sadness, joy anger, and more when it comes to Facebook statuses.

Instead of the often-requested dislike button to counter the existing Like button, founder Mark Zuckerberg explains, in this post, that this idea is about giving more options to users to express themselves on the social media platform.

Facebook has begun testing the service; however, it is currently only available in Spain and Ireland. No official dates have been revealed for the launch of the service in Africa, as of yet.
