With the announcement of a new application challenge for startup developers by Bharti Airtel, Airtel Nigeria has now unveiled a 3-in-1 SIM card.
According to Airtel Nigeria, the 3-in-1 SIM card is intended to give smartphone users the freedom to switch devices and retain the same SIM card.
The Airtel Smart SIM package comprises all three SIM card sizes, namely Micro, Standard and Nano. According to Airtel Nigeria, the aim is to make it convenient for customers to switch devices without having to get a new, different-sized SIM.
According to The Punch, the128KB SIM package is set to retail for NGN 300. Consumers who purchase them will be able to access the Celltick applet, a value-added service that displays live content and marketing messages on the home screen when the phone is idle. Customers can subscribe to the content by clicking on the messages displayed on phone screen.
