With Morocco’s mobile phone sector growing tremendously over recent years as prices continue to reduce and more inclusive deals are in the works, operator Meditel announced the launch of a Sim-only rate plan including “unlimited voice and SMS.”

The company said that the new rate plan also includes three GB of mobile data monthly. There is no contract commitment required and will cost a user MAD 199.

The new offering should help increase interest in the mobile operator and shows that companies in Morocco are ready to push forward deals in order to maintain their existing customers and attract new users.

Meditel also said that it was “enriching its offer with options for unlimited calls to international numbers, roaming abroad and extra mobile data,” which includes an additional one GB for MAD 50.

“The Hanny no-commitment tariff now includes 8 hours of calls to any operator, 500 SMS and 1 GB of data for MAD 99 a month,” the company said.

Morocco is quickly becoming one of the top destinations for companies attempting to try out new ideas and promotions, and with the near exponential growth in Morocco’s mobile sector, it appears to be ripe for such ideas.
