Zoom Wireless set to offer high-speed internet in Uganda

Zoom Wireless is set to deliver 512 kbps, 1 Mbps or 3Mbps at approximately 50% of the rates of their competitors and with no usage caps to residential consumers.

Zoom Wireless is expecting to deliver affordable, unlimited high-speed internet to businesses and residences in and around Gulu, Uganda. According to the company, it has partnered with EveryLayer to roll-out the project as well as been granted a commercial ISP license – which will assist it with its planned regional expansion as well as high-speed internet roll-out.

With its licence intact, Zoom Wireless expects to deliver internet speeds of up to 9Mbps for corporate entities. To add to this, it is also set to deliver 512 kbps, 1 Mbps or 3Mbps to residential consumers. Zoom Wireless revealed that it will offer its products at approximately 50 percent of the rates of their competitors and with no usage caps to residential consumers.


‘’Given the overwhelming demand for high-speed Internet we are experiencing in Gulu, Zoom Wireless plans to extend its services to all the busy towns in Northern and West Nile regions of Uganda,” said Moses Olweny, Zoom Wireless Sales and Marketing Manager.

According to the company, these services will transform the way people access and use the Internet for business, operations and entertainment by offering reliable, high-speed access that enables use of cloud-based productivity services, streaming video and more.
