During the course of Mobile World Congress 2015 former South African President, Thabo Mbeki, took the stage for Africa Night. During his keynote, the former President took a strong stance towards developing and growing the ICT sector within South Africa as well as throughout Africa.
The event focused solely on telecommunications industry’s development in Africa, and how mobile broadband is changing people’s lives through inclusion and empowerment. Ericsson hosted the event in Barcelona, Spain where Mbeki outlined the key benefits of technology for the African Renaissance.
