Nigeria: Wiko unveils Getaway smartphone

Wiko revealed that the device features a 13 Megapixel rear camera as well as a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera.

Wiko has launched its latest device, which has been dubbed “Getaway,” in Nigeria. According to the mobile phone manufacturer, it has also partnered with online e-commerce platform “Jumia” in order to distribute the device.

Wiko’s latest device features a 5-inch LCD display. Additionally, the device runs on Android KitKat, which is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad Core processor.

The Getaway features a 13 Megapixel rear camera as well as a 5 Megapixel front-facing camera. According to the company the device will also come stock standard with 16GB of built-in storage space; however, this can be expanded upon with up to 32GB with a MicroSD card.

The latest device from Wiko comes with the tagline, “Game Changer,” a message aimed at appealing to the free-spirited, passionate, adventurous and independent nature of the youth in Nigeria.

According to online platform Jumia, the device will sell for ₦40000 ($200 USD).
