ThoughtWorks appoints new head of operations in Africa

Multinational software delivery and technology company, ThoughtWorks has appointed Wambui Kinya as Head of Operations for Africa. Kinya will be based in Nairobi and will focus on the company’s operations in South Africa and Uganda.

Kinya has been in the industry for more than 15 years specialising in digital, mobile marketing and technology consulting. Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, she was a Director for Praekelt Consulting (East Africa) and in other corporations such as IBM Global Business Services and Digitas (Publicis Groupe) based in North America, Europe and Africa.

“Kinya’s appointment signals our commitment to growing ThoughtWorks in the continent and providing African solutions for African problems,” said Kgomotso Sediane, Managing Director of ThoughtWorks South Africa.

“Her skills, experience and expertise will add great value to us and our clients, assisting them to continuously deliver quality software for their most critical needs,” said Sediane.

Kinya holds BA, Economics and Computer Science from Principia College.
