Turtle Rock Studios will be launching its latest title “Evolve” with a pretty hefty day-one patch. The patch rolls in at about 3GB, but may differ from platform to platform according to the development studio.
According to the developers, the patch introduces various bug fixes, as well as improvements, when it comes to the title’s overall performance. Additionally, the patch will fix load times during matchmaking sessions as well as optimise network bandwidth. Much like most titles, Evolve will require the patch to run, which means that it will be mandatory to update the game in order to access the online features.
According to Turtle Rock Studios: “This patch adds connectivity to work with Evolve Hunters Quest. We recently unveiled the game/companion app for Evolve. In one respect, it’s a fun Match-3 puzzle combat game. But it also has ties into the main console game through the my2K servers. Earn experience and watch overhead match replays through the app. Best of all, it’s free for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.”
