In recent developments around the feud between two key eCommerce operators in Nigeria, online retailer Konga.com is reportedly considering legal action against Rocket Internet, over domain ownership.
Rocket Internet is the parent company of several ventures in the West African country, including popular online retailer Jumia.com.
According to media reports, the planned court action by Konga.com has drawn support from other operators in the market.
The Vanguard quotes Peter Akporume, CEO of Mobile Enterprise Technology Nigeria Ltd. as saying that if Rocket Internet is guilty of what Konga.com is alleging, then legal action is their last option. “….according to Konga they have contacted Rocket which hasn’t responded which, if true, means that they are left with no other line of action than this.”
