South African mobile service provider MTN announced that Apple’s latest iPhone5s and iPhone 5c will be coming to the network on 15 November.
“MTN today announced it will offer iPhone 5s, the most forward-thinking smartphone in the world, and iPhone 5c, the most colorful iPhone yet, to customers beginning on 15 November 2013,” the mobile service provider said in a statement.
Leading up to the launch date, customers can register their interest in purchasing a device by pre-ordering at https://shop.mtn.co.za/crs/browse/productFilter.jsp?brand=Apple
While no official pricing has been announced yet for MTN, the news comes after rival network Vodacom announced over the weekend that they too will be bringing the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5s to their customers.
Users considering the device will also have to register with the network in order “to receive further information such as the launch details and great deals”.
There has been no word from either network as to when the devices will be made available throughout the rest of Africa in the countries in which they operate.
