While gamers are now able to purchase Microsoft’s Xbox360 console, the bank will soon make Sony’s new PlayStation 4 device available as well.

“Not only can those who acquire their smart device through FNB steer clear of the festive season gift buying rush, but it gives those who would otherwise not have been able to afford paying cash for the latest smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming consoles the opportunity to acquire devices over 24 months, with zero additional interest, fees or charges,” the bank said in a statement.

Kartik Mistry, Head of Smart Devices at FNB Core Banking Solutions, said that “As we increase the number of devices per cheque account and expand our product range to include gaming, we are no longer just providing the devices that allow banking on the go but we are slowly moving towards becoming a lifestyle partner.”

Together with Sony’s Playstation 4, the bank will also make available a host of other Sony and Nokia products, such as Sony Xperia SP, Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Sony Xperia Z1, Nokia 1020 and Nokia Phablet.
