In an effort to continue to boost mobile phone use and the country’s telecom sector, Airtel Zambia announced the launch of a new promotion dubbed “Itebete” that allows customers to call and browse for free, and stand the chance of winning cash prizes.
Managing Director Charity Lumpa said that the Itebete promotion “has three dimensions; a 100 percent bonus on voice calls, a 200 percent bonus on data and 100 daily winners of ZMK 100, as long one tops up by a minimum of ZMK 1.”
For a customer to enjoy the free calling minutes and free browsing, Lumpa said they “would be required to attain a given daily target.”
The free data and calling minutes would be valid until midnight the same day. The promotion runs for 90 days and, to participate, customers must engage * 133 # (star 133 hash) to confirm their target.
